Senior Football League Draw

Miltown 0-11 Annaghdown 0-11
Played Saturday evening in Miltown the 2 teams that contested last years Senior B League Final ended all square. Miltown lead @ the break 6pts to 5pts and started the second half going 4pts up. Annaghdown dominated to score 5pts on the trot but Miltown leveled with a free near the end.

Good first half performance from Annaghdown had them 3-8 to 2pts up after playing with the wind. But Ballybar rose their game and made sure Annaghdown had poor second half.

Good win in a windy Castlegar last evening. Annaghdown lead 2-5 to 6pts @ the break after playing against a strong wind. Good team performace over all after a bruising encounter.
Next game on tomorrow nite in Mountbellew against Ballgar @ 7.30pm.

Another good team performance against Miltown, played in Tuam Stadium on Sunday evening last. Annaghdown lead @ half time 2-6 to 3pts with the goals coming from Ronnie Newell & Ger Rafftrey.

Senior F/ballers through to 1/4 Finals of Championship

Senior Football Championship
Annaghdown 0-16 Claregalway 1-11
Played in Corofin in good conditions Annaghdown advance to the Senior Football 1/4 finals after a hard fought victory over a rugged Claregalway side. Annaghdown started brighly with Niall Coleman, Brendan Dooley & Frankie Burke firing them 3pts in front. Claregalway slowly got into the game and after 20mins they scored a fortunate goal to take the lead but Annaghdown drew level at half time leaving the score 1-3 to 6pts.
Annaghdown won the game in the 3rd quater when they went 6pts up and left Claregalway bemused but credit to Claregalway they kept plugging away and got the lead down to 2pts. Damien Burke kicked a penalty over the bar to put Annaghdown 4pts up again and Claregalway got 2 last points but the goal never came for them with thanks to an Adrian Fitzpatrick block.

Annaghdown 3-13 Carnmore 1-08
Good win for Annaghdown Junior Hurlers in a wet but good Carnmore pitch tonite. Annaghdown lead at half time 2-8 to 5pts after playing with the wind. Ciaran O'Connor struck 4 first half points from wing forward. Carnmore got a good start to the second half scoring a goal and a point after been camped in the Annaghdown half for the first 10mins. But a good team effort saw out the storm to finish comfortable winners.
